Pathways to Grow Impact

Emily Wexler, Grantmakers for Effective Organizations

How can grantmakers best support high-performing nonprofits in their efforts to grow their impact? Our session is for any grantmaker who wants his or her grant dollars to have a greater effect. Drawing from Pathways to Grow Impact, a collaborative project with Ashoka, Social Impact Exchange, Taproot Foundation and TCC Group, we will offer a framework for understanding different approaches to scaling impact, stories from nonprofit leaders who have successfully grown their organizations’ impact, and practical recommendations for grantmakers seeking more effective ways to achieve better results.

Is scale inherently vertical or does the term allow for a conception outside if the decentralized structuralist perspective? Given the nature of the times and the technologies we see excelling in changing conditions, then perhaps it is time to ask just what is the place of scalable distributed solutions and impact strategies. Have you considered this?
