The Venue

The Fort Mason Center for Arts & Culture

SOCAP18 will take place at the historic Fort Mason Center for Arts & Culture on the San Francisco Bay waterfront. Once a U.S. Army base, Fort Mason has been revitalized as a hub of artistic creativity and exploration. The center hosts theatre and dance performances, art installations, and classes on arts and culture. The center also supports San Francisco’s arts community by providing a home for dozens of nonprofits and arts organizations. Fort Mason is located within the Golden Gate National Recreation Area, the most visited national park in the United States, which includes Alcatraz, Muir Woods, and the Marin Headlands.

IMPORTANT UPDATE: Another large event (Oracle’s OpenWorld) will take place during SOCAP18 and hotel rates in the city may exceed $500 per night. We have secured a limited number of hotel blocks in San Francisco and north of the Golden Gate Bridge with rates starting at $229, and booking links for these accommodations will only be available to registered attendees (immediately after completing Eventbrite registration). Please contact us at [email protected] with any questions.

We are proud to be partnering on hotel accommodations with TripZero for the third year, which helps reduce our impact on the environment. Air travel is the largest contributor to greenhouse gas emissions for events. When you book your hotel for SOCAP18 through TripZero, they will measure your carbon footprint and erase it–at no extra charge to you–by funding forestry and methane reduction projects that remove carbon from the atmosphere.
