It is our invitation to you to share your best programming ideas with our conference team and the SOCAP community, and to add your perspective to the mix. Every year, SOCAP offers scholarships to promising social entrepreneurs. We want your energy and your ideas at the conference! Past SOCAP entrepreneurs have come from over 35 countries on six continents, representing a wide variety of inspiring and innovative ventures.
The scholarship is an amazing opportunity for social entrepreneurs! Scholarship recipients receive support including:

We’re excited to collaborate with the Bush Foundation for a second year to offer a special scholarship opportunity–the SOCAP18 Bush Foundation Scholarship for Social Business Creators. This scholarship is open to business creators based in Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, and the 23 Native nations that share the same geography.
The Bush Foundation is based in St. Paul, Minnesota, and encourages individuals and organizations to think bigger and think differently about what is possible in communities across Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota. With the SOCAP18 Bush Foundation Scholarship for Social Business Creators, leaders from these states will have the chance to attend the SOCAP conference, to build valuable connections and stronger networks. We’ll select 25 outstanding business creators who have ideas that will improve their communities and region.
Scholarship recipients will receive the following:
- Free SOCAP18 full conference pass (valued at $1495)
- Roundtrip airfare

Contribute your time and enthusiasm to SOCAP18 to help make our 11th annual convening the most impactful one yet. SOCAP volunteers play a vital role in the success of the conference.
We are looking for 80 to 100 volunteers to perform a variety of integral roles before, during, and immediately following SOCAP18. Students, entrepreneurs, non-profit representatives, professionals who are in career transition, and others who are passionate about building the social capital market are encouraged to apply.
The Commitment
Volunteers are required to sign up for shifts totaling a minimum of 12 hours. (If this is your first SOCAP you are highly encouraged to sign up for no more than 12 hours).
Volunteers must purchase a $200 SOCAP18 volunteer ticket (a discount of $1295 off a full price SOCAP ticket).
Volunteers must agree to complete all assigned tasks.
Benefits
Attend SOCAP18 sessions, meals, and conference events outside of volunteer shifts.
Volunteers who work 18 or more hours at SOCAP18 will receive a full refund for their ticket.
