Reimagining investment in service of buen vivir

At Thousand Currents, we are starting an investment fund from scratch and it’s not business as usual. Rather than using imposing terms and models designed by investors, the Buen Vivir Fund investment model is built upon identifying lending practices developed by grassroots groups themselves and that are already proving effective on the ground. Together with a founding circle of 10 grassroots groups from around the world, and 8 progressive investors in the U.S. we have co-designed the Buen Vivir Fund to uplift and apply these practices to the level of a global investment fund.
