Steve Wright - Salesforce.com Foundation

Prior to joining the Salesforce.com Foundation, Steve worked for thirteen years in K12 education and technology. He was a high school administrator and a classroom teacher for nine years, beginning with the Peace Corps in Micronesia. Steve joined Salesforce.com Foundation in September 2000, initially working to help youth-serving organizations maintain effective IT for both administrative and programmatic purposes.  In an effort to create greater scale, Steve led the effort to build a robust product donation program. The salesforce.com Foundation has donated the force.com data management platform to over 6,000 organizations in over 55 countries.

Steve is a recognized expert in the areas of nonprofit operational efficacy,  social impact measurement and the use of effective and relevant tools to make a better world.

Steve’s responsibilities as the Director of Innovation center around leveraging the salesforce.com product specifically, and the cloud in general, to advance the foundation’s Theory of Change: “Our world, better equipped to address its challenges.” To this end, he has led the development of the Nonprofit Starter Pack which is a configuration of the force.com platform specifically designed for the social sector.  the Nonprofit Starter Pack is currently in use by over 2500 nonprofits.

Additionally, Steve is active in the global social sector working to build and support ecosystems where both collaboration and social impact outcomes accompany revenue to define sustainability.  An example of this work is the PULSE project for social investment which is built on the Force.com platform.

Rodrigo Villar - New Ventures Mexico

Rodrigo is New Ventures’ Mexico Director since 2004. He has been named “One of the 30 Most Promising Executives in their Thirties” and a “Green Hero” by Expansión magazine, Mexico’s premier national business magazine. In 2007 he was named an Ashoka Fellow for the Las Páginas Verdes project – an environmental consumer guide. Rodrigo currently serves as President of the Microfinance Committee for the Mexican Institute of Financial Executives (IMEF), President of the Entrepreneurs Circle, Treasurer and Founding Board Member of BioNexos A.C. Prior to joining New Ventures, Rodrigo was employed by Ernst & Young, The Dow Chemical Company, Desc, S.A. de C.V. and Spangaro Systems Pty.  Ltd. Rodrigo holds a BA in Accounting and Finance from Instituto Tecnológico de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey and a MBA from the Melbourne Institute of Technology.

Raúl Pomares - Guggenheim Investments

Mr. Pomares is a member of Guggenheim Investments, where he focuses on the development of a dedicated Impact Investment management platform.  The platform aims at delivering innovative fund solutions for return oriented investors that seek measurable environmental and social impact.  Prior to this effort, Mr. Pomares served as a Portfolio Manager at Guggenheim Investment Advisors, developing integrated multi-manager portfolios for foundations and high net worth clients.   In particular, Mr. Pomares applied his expertise across a broad range of Sustainability, Mission and Social Investment (SMSI) themes, to develop an integrated manager research and portfolio construction methodology for Impact investors.  Prior to joining Guggenheim Partners in 2006, Mr. Pomares was a co-founder and director of client services for a boutique wealth management firm. He also served as an investment advisor, international private banker and consultant on behalf of global financial institutions and private investors. Mr. Pomares received his degree in international business management from the University of San Francisco.

Randall Kempner - Aspen Network of Development Entrepreneurs

Randall Kempner is Executive Director of the Aspen Network of Development Entrepreneurs (ANDE), which seeks to dramatically increase the amount and effectiveness of capital and technical/business assistance for entrepreneurs in developing countries.

Randall has fifteen years of experience in the field of national and international business/economic development. Most recently, he served as Vice President for Regional Innovation at the Council on Competitiveness, a non-partisan think tank based in Washington. In leading the Council on Competitiveness’ Regional Innovation Initiative, Mr. Kempner directed innovation-based economic development initiatives in nearly a dozen American regions and provided policy guidance and training to the U.S. Departments of Commerce and Labor. Prior to joining the Council in 2003, Randall served as Vice President of OTF Group, an international consulting firm that advises regions and nations on how to create competitive advantage. Randall was a co-founder of OTF, and played a lead role in its spin-out from Monitor Group, the international consultancy. With Monitor and OTF, Randall led comprehensive competitiveness projects in Bermuda, Colombia, El Salvador, and Peru. He also worked in a wide variety of industry “clusters” including agro-industry, apparel, biotechnology and tourism.

Randall graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with an M.B.A and an M.P.Aff. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Government from Harvard College. In 2004, he was a German Marshall Fund-American Memorial Marshall Fellow.

Rajendra Joshi - SAATH

Rajendra Joshi is Managing Trustee on the board for SAATH, a non-government organization whose mission is “to make human settlements equitable living environments, where all vulnerable residents have access to health, education, essential infrastructure, services and livelihood options, irrespective of their economic and social status.” Rajendra has been with SAATH since February 1989. A couple years prior, Rajendra pursued an education at St. Xavier’s College.
