Yes, you CAN measure that: How to get hard-to-measure data and increase your capacity for social impact
Steve Patty, Dialogues In Action
Getting data on impact is no easy task. Too often organizations - nonprofits and social enterprises - settle for data on outputs (things organizations have done) and outcomes (things stakeholder population has done) instead of assessing true, durable, life-changing impact. Bringing lessons from work with over 300 social impact organizations, this session will provide a method for measuring the immeasurable and show how self-studies of impact can transform the ability of an organization to ‘prove’ and ‘improve’ its value for social change. On this panel, you will hear perspectives from a social enterprise that recently underwent the journey of impact evaluation, a consulting firm that built the evaluation framework, and an investor who believes in the framework's fresh and innovative approach to evaluation.
