A global campaign to heal ourselves and the planet. THE GOAL: SHIFT GLOBAL FOOD TRENDS TOWARD EATING THAT IS GOOD FOR OURSELVES AND EARTH A platform for influential chefs, doctors, writers, and celebrities to engage the public in being part of the solution, starting at Global Climate Action Summit (GCAS) in San Francisco prior to SOCAP. In addition to electing pro-climate leaders and moving to a clean energy economy, food is rising as one of the most powerful levers—if not the most powerful lever—for reversing global warming. Many citizens have felt powerless to do anything about global warming. It’s high time to help people realize and seize their full power in our highest potential solution to heal ourselves and the planet: WHAT WE CHOOSE TO EAT. And this includes all of us. We will: • Illuminate the power of food to restore our health and the climate • Launch a content series, public art, and social media campaign that will raise awareness and help people make the connection and the change • Announce a set of food-focused climate restoration goals at SOCAP • Finally give the public the opportunity to reverse global warming through what we eat Learn about the societal transformation of the food system. With billions of people dining multiple times a day, we can turn the tide and realize the power in food.
