Beyond the SIB: Integrating an Outcomes Based Financing view across development projects
Elly Bringaze, Social Finance
Outcomes-Based-Financing has expanded beyond SIBs to incorporate multiple new and flexible innovative financing mechanisms. These structures are growing in number and catalyzing impact within policymaking and capital markets. Although Outcomes-Based-Financing is not compatible with every intervention, the analytical frameworks behind evidence-based interventions are becoming commonplace. Join a group of practitioners in a working session to evaluate projects with the tools underlying OBF, including impact measurement and data alignment. You will have the opportunity to focus on an issue area of your choice and hear from practitioners on how to bring elements of OBF into your work. Together, we will walk through the decision making process to determine if an intervention is SIB-able through mock feasibility studies in an energetic working session.
