Amplifying Impact through Donor Advised Funds
Katherine Pease, Cornerstone Capital Group
There is nearly $25 billion of assets in donor advised funds but only a small fraction of that is invested for impact. Donor advised funds can provide impact-focused investors, companies and grantmakers with tremendous opportunities for increasing their impact, but donor advised fund holders often don’t understand the potential that DAFs hold and thus the demand for DAFs as impact investing vehicles is muted. In this session we will explore how DAF hosts and DAF holders are working together to amplify the impact of DAFs to achieve their impact goals and will look at emerging trends in using DAF endowment capital as well as PRIs for achieving targeted impact.
