This year’s Annual Conference is titled: “Venture Philanthropy as a Catalyst for Societal Change”. Join to take a look at how venture philanthropy is impacting society, and how it can generate even greater impact by:
– broadening its target sectors from purely social sectors to including sectors such as the environment, culture, medical research and healthcare
– working together with a wider set of collaborators, including governments, corporations and beyond
– improving the general effeciency of the philanthropic investment process
The conference brings together a variety of players, including social investors, donors, foundations, private equity organisations, advisory firms, private banks, academic institutions and some selected social entrepreneurs.Recognised experts and practitioners identified by an international conference committee will lead the various debates, panels and round tables.
Confirmed key note speakers include Dr Charly Kleissner, Co-founder of the KL Felicitas Foundation, Damon Buffini, Co-founder of Permira and the Social Business Trust, Andrea Limone, CEO of PerMicro, Luciano Balbo, founder and Chairman of Fondazione Oltre, and Hanne Finstad, founder and CEO of Forskerfabrikken.
Since the industry is still young the focus lies on interactive sessions and round tables, facilitated by one or two experts in order to share experiences, debate challenges and disseminate best practice.
The 7th Annual EVPA conference will be held on 16- 17 November 2011 in Turin, Italy.
