Susan Beck, Soul Sister Farms & Food

Co-Founder

Susan Beck is passionate about community transformation. She formed the Ashland Cherryland Garden & Arts Network to launch an artful eco-re-evolution in her Unincorporated Alameda County community of Cherryland. After much success engaging residents in projects ranging from gardening to mural-painting, she is partnering with her soul sister from Ashland, Shanale Allen, to launch Soul Sister Farms and Food. Together with Mandela Marketplace and EarthSeed Consulting, Soul Sister Farms & Food is the first step in a viable plan for the economic revitalization of Ashland Cherryland beyond predatory development. Susan is also transforming the dental industry to cleaner, greener practices, as Director of The Eco-Dentistry Association, and business manager of Transcendentist, the country’s first green dental office. She lives in Cherryland with her husband and two Labrador retrievers, where she serves as President of the Community Association, and is known as an innovative leader, committed to community empowerment.
