Lindsay Smalling is Chief Executive Officer of Social Capital Markets (SOCAP), convening impact entrepreneurs, investors, and cross-sector leaders to accelerate the market at the intersection of money and meaning. The annual flagship event in San Francisco is the largest conference for impact investors and social entrepreneurs and has drawn more than 20,000 people since 2008.

Lindsay was previously Strategic Initiatives Officer at ImpactAssets, a leading impact investing firm, where she co-authored multiple white papers on impact investing, including The Millennial Perspective: Understanding Preferences of the New Asset Owners, and Seeding the Future: Challenge and Opportunity in Early Stage Impact Investing. She also produced the annual ImpactAssets 50, a public database for investors and their financial advisors to identify experienced impact investment firms and explore the landscape of potential investment options.

Prior to receiving an MBA at Columbia Business School, Lindsay worked at Entrepreneurs Foundation, consulting on corporate social responsibility programs. She spent the first four years of her career in financial services at Wellington Management and Lord Abbett. Lindsay graduated from Pomona College, where she was a Division III National Champion in water polo. She currently lives in San Francisco with her husband and twin daughters.
