A discussion of how urban prototyping and bottom up innovation are changing how people experience and interact in cities. Specifically, this will examine work done in SF and elsewhere to identify ideas/methods that can be used to accelerate change in cities. Projects include: Urban Prototyping Festival, Living Innovation Zones, Parklets, DataSF, peer-to-peer systems.

    This session looks great and could work really well in conversations about place-based innovation. Especially the conversation about Living Innovation zones and if that could be a case study that could be broadened to a national application.
