How can Income Sharing become the future of financing for education?
Mario Ferro, Wedu
According to some estimates, financing the education of the coming generation will require 10+ trillion USD over the next two decades. How can we sustainably provide access to quality education for all? This panel brings together global perspectives on financing for education via Income Sharing representing USA, Latin America and Asia. We will present both the perspectives of practitioners (Wedu, Lumni and Learners Guild) and funders (Acumen and Kiva). We will discuss how Income Sharing has evolved in the last few years, and whether it really has the potential to become the tool of choice to finance the education for tens of millions of students globally.
