Unreasonable Institute is Hiring a Communications & Marketing Officer!

What to join an entrepreneurial team out to change the world? The Unreasonable Institute is hiring! Each year, Unreasonable runs a 6-week program for 25 entrepreneurs from across the globe tackling the greatest social and environmental challenges of our time. It’s goal is to provide these entrepreneurs with guidance from 50 mentors, access to capital, and a global network or support so their ventures will one day reach at least 1 million people!

Apply for Yoshiyama Young Entrepreneur Program

In its third year, the Yoshiyama Young Entrepreneur Program provides financial and business support for up to five entrepreneurs whose businesses improve the lives of low-income individuals. This could result in anything from creating quality jobs, producing new products and services or devising management strategies that propel the business and people forward.

The selected entrepreneurs receive $40,000 over two years, along with leadership development, business mentoring, technical assistance and access to a network of peers and advisers.

Previous winning entrepreneurs have run businesses that focus on everything from mentoring youth in struggling school districts and painting blighted buildings to providing micro-loans for start up businesses and converting waste from coffee grounds to into quality crops and good jobs.

Apply for the Cartier Women’s Initiative Awards!

Cartier Women’s Initiative Awards, a business plan competition for start-ups led by women organized by Cartier in partnership with McKinsey and INSEAD business school.

This social entrepreneurship competition aims at supporting creative, financially sustainable and responsible women-led start-ups, in all countries and industries. They are currently in the call for applications phase for our contest and are looking for women leading for-profit responsible enterprises between 1 and 3 years old.

The Award will be given to six laureates who will receive a comprehensive support package comprising  a year of coaching, US $20,000 in funding, valuable networking opportunities as well as media exposure.

The final stage of the competition, consisting in a presentation in front of an international Jury, will take place in France during the Global Meeting of the Women’s Forum.

The submission deadline this year is March 13, 2012 at 10am CET
